United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has asserted that Lt Ingobi alias Suresh alias Satyaban (MPA no.356) s/o Y Saratkumar of Mayang Imphal Kokchai was the latest victim of fake encounter of the Indian security forces.

Yoiheiba contended that contrary to the assertion of top India Army officials that Manipur-India conflict should be resolved politically and not militarily, the Indian security forces continue to kill UGs as well as innocent civilians who have fallen into their hands in fake encounter.
Such conduct reveals the double standard of Indian Army.
Lt Ingobi joined UNLF in 1995 and after receiving his military training dedicated himself to the task of the party and its armed wing.
While in 292 Bn (MTF) of MPA and ZULU Task Force (Jiribam & Barak valley, Lt Ingobi carried out the duties assigned to him at his level best.
In 2007, he was deputed to the Organisation Department of UNLF and worked for promotion of better relationship with the people.
In 2010, he took charged of secretary of Thoubal district.
Later on, he was assigned the charge of district secretary of Lamangdong district, the statement informed, adding that Lt Ingobi left behind his wife and a 4-month old son.
Observing that targeting of those fighting for the cause of freedom by the Indian security forces would only give a new impetus to the ongoing struggle, Yoiheiba said that this could not cause any damage to UNLF.
The ongoing liberation movement cannot be suppressed in any way and the enmity would remain until resolution of the conflict.
Hard life in jungle is the fate of every freedom strugglers and their sacrifices would remain etched in the annals of revolutionary history inspiring many more to follow their footsteps, Yoiheiba said, while hailing Lt Ingobi and sharing the bereavement of his family members.
