SHDDC encourages injured agitators, reaffirms stand

While reiterating its stand regarding their demand of a full-fledged Sadar Hills district, the Sadar Hills Districthood Demand Committee (SHDDC) today encouraged those agitators who have been injured in the agitation for a common cause of Sadar Hills and prayed for their speedy recovery from their injuries by performing the Lhalho Kin", a customary rite of blessing for perpetual and longevity of life.
Briefing reporters in a press meet held at Gamnom Saparmeina Community Hall, Information and Publicity Secretary of SHDDC Shenpu Haokip said that Sadar Hills Women's Union, KSO Sadar Hills, Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, Thadou Students Association, Gorkha Nepali leaders under the aegis of SHDDC unanimously agreed to render unabated scarifying service for the cause of Sadar Hills districthood inspite of all suppressive designs of state government and security forces.
While appreciating the concern of the AR authority for justice by instituting the Army Court of Inquiry over the atrocities and inhuman acts of 43 AR during a recent incident, members of the various civil societies present today appealed to the AR authority to conduct the inquiry at Kangpokpi or Gamnom-Saparmeina PS stating that "It will enable the SHDDC leaders to present or produce witnesses and evidences as desire by the Court of Inquiry" .
Shenpu Haokip also warned the state government to be prepared to accept all unfolding incidents if it further delays inauguration of Sadar Hills as a full-fledged autonomous district.
