Lamka, October 08 2011:
A guest house meant to accommodate the needy and interior people who seek to visit the district headquarters for want of medical treatment or other facilities but without any proper place to lodge themselves was inaugurated today inside the premises of Vungzagin Valte, an MLA aspirant.
Valte, a former SBI Lead Manager said the lodge which he name after her later mother Niangzen was meant to give solace for the poor and needy people of the interior areas.
They can lodge themselves here while receiving treatment or turn it into a temporary house to conduct the last rites of their near and dear ones free of cost and without the need to perform any of the expensive traditional rituals, he said.
With a handsome turnout witness today, Valte who leave his job with the SBI early this year to contest the upcoming poll, is all set to give a tough ride to V Hangkhanlian, the incumbent Thanlon MLA.
Already a known figure in the social circuit Valte had maintained that his decision to contest poll was meant to bolster his pursuit to help out the rural poor.
