Imphal, May 08 2015 :
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam flagged off a Youth Disaster Response Team, Manipur for relief operation to Nepal today at Kangla Uttra Shanglen.
Speaking at the flag off ceremony the Deputy CM said, "what happened at Nepal is most tragic.
The Youth Disaster Response Team, Manipur would provide all to the possible help to Nepal" .
Tremors of the devastating earthquake on April 25 that killed more than 8000 people in Nepal were also felt in some parts of India.
The Minister conveyed condolences to the family of the quake victims.

"Natural calamities are never predictable, I hope Nepal returns to normalcy soon," the Minister stated.
Relief and Disaster Management Secretary Jason A Shimray and Chief-de-mission K Karnajit were also present at the flagging off ceremony.
A team of 12, including doctors, took off for Nepal with relief material provided by the State and the public collectively.
