Thang-Ta Instructor Refresher Training Course concludes

The 15-day 'Thang-Ta Instructor Refresher Training Course' organised by Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) concluded yesterday.
The valedictory function of the training programme was held at the hall of Government Dance College, Palace Compound, said a press release by KIMACS.
KIMACS organised the training programme with support from Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM), Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) .
During the programme, Moirangthem Indira Devi, Principal, DIET, SCERT, Senapati District imparted knowledge on how the Thang-Ta trainers will teach the students as per the norms of the National Education Policy (NEP) .

Speaking at the occasion, KIMACS president, Ningthoujam Ajitkumar Mangang while highlighting the role of teachers in bringing in a developed society maintained that the Thang-Ta teachers should ensure that the students know the importance of such an important indigenous art form.
He also stressed on the importance of carrying forth the legacy of the forefathers by the upcoming youths to promote Thang-Ta artform and to practice it.
