NSCN Zeilad region extends gratitude

The Zeilad Region, NSCN/GPRN has extended its appreciation to the response they received from all sections of people.
"We are hugely indebted to Rongmei peoples' representatives attached with district officials, TADC, Rongmei Councils, RSOM, RNYO, Luh Phwam, Church leaders, village authorities, health workers and other civil society members who have selflessly come forward to contribute in kind, cash and prayers to deal with this unprecedented pandemic crisis," said Central Administrative Officer, Zeilad Region, NSCN/GPRN in a statement.
"The Zeilad Region is concerned about the burden of running the Quarantine center in various locations.
Accordingly, we come forward with a token amount to help the 23 institutional quarantine centers located in Tamenglong HQ, Luangba, Longmai, and Khoupum areas, and also to the 47 community quarantine centers within the Zeilad Region jurisdiction," it further said.
"Significantly, this novel pandemic has caught us unprepared and forced us to awaken from deep slumber.
Our administrative and health sectors were found wanting.
The pace of innovative planning was also below level.
Nevertheless, we must stay positive and take control of our new approach as we re-strategize to face the challenge ahead, without losing focus of our common destiny," it added.
Meanwhile, National Socialist Women's Organization of Nagalim, NSCN in a statement signed by its chairperson Hosheli Achumi has expressed their concern in regard to the new world order brought about by the infectious Covid-19 .
"We are made to realize that solidarity in action in accordance with the WHO's safety protocol is the need of the hour.
There is no other way" .
"Humanity is now on trial.
How people across the world respond to pandemic Covid19 is on trial.
Our relationship with God is on trial.
Such trials never seen before in the history of the world is significantly worth having a closer look" .
"Let us also take note of the warning issued by the UN (United Nations): 'Solidarity is the world's best fight against Covid-19' .
We need to stand together and stand by the safety protocol issued by the WHO" .
