MGSF raises strike call over 7th Pay

The Manipur Government Services' Federation (MGSF) has warned the Government of a 'complete lock-out strike' from July 2 if the 7th Pay is not implemented in toto at the earliest.
Along with implementation of the 7th Pay in toto, the MGSF has also demanded payment of DA in 'correct form' and rectification of pay anomaly of various Departments, which had not been considered by the Pay Anomaly Committee for more than two years.
Registering their grievances, the stakeholders/employees concerned of the Government will don black badges from June 20 to 22 and hold sit-in protests on June 24 and 25, MGSF said in a statement today.
The decision to launch the protests was taken during a joint consultative meeting of all stakeholders under the banner of MGSF yesterday at 3 pm at the conference hall of Manipur Secretariat.
Representatives from Health Services, Forest Services, Engineering Department, college and school teachers, taxation, DRDA, MCS, MSS, Planning, trained nurses, Art and Culture, Revenue, Education (s), pensioners' union, Economics & Statistics Department, Excise Department, Social Welfare Department, DIPR etc participated in the meeting, it said.
