Thoubal, May 19 2022:
Pangal Students' Organisation (PSO), Manipur has appealed to the relevant department to address and solve the issue of inadequate number of teachers at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, Thoubal.
In a statement PSO shared that upon carrying out an inspection visit at Chaoyaima Higher Secondary School, they discovered a disproportionate number of teachers with respect to students.
Elaborating on this, the statement alleged that the higher secondary school has only one teacher each for Geography and Education subjects, no teacher at all for Economics and one single teacher for the entire Commerce stream.
PSO further said that many Government schools are filled with inadequacies that prevent the students of these schools from receiving quality education.
The State administration aims for quality education but these shortages in Government schools is a big factor why this goal remains unfulfilled, PSO claimed.
As such, PSO has urged the Government and other relevant authorities to tackle this problem at the earliest in the interest of students.
