SUK urges for timely measures to curb spread of coronavirus

Imphal, July 11 2022:
In view of the recent surge in Covid positive cases in the State over the past few days, Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has urged the State Government and relevant authorities to take up timely measures to curb the further spread of Coronavirus before the situation worsens.
In a press release, SUK appealed to the authorities concerned to take up precautionary measures to ensure that the schools are conducting classes adhering to COVID-19 protocols in the interest of the students and teachers.
The student body also emphasized the role of teachers and parents/guardians to sensitize the students on the importance of strictly following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for COVID-19 such as maintaining social distance, wearing of masks, washing hands frequently etc to stay protected from the virus.
In connection with the rush in schools and colleges of the State regarding admission process and entrance examinations, SUK appealed to the school and college authorities concerned to come up with special measures to avoid crowding of people.
Lastly Students' Union of Kangleipak also appealed to the schools and college authorities to reserve 15-20 percent seat reservations for admission for the students who are to appear for compartmental examinations.
