Former candidates of Shiv Sena TT Haokip, Toijam Devan and Ninghor Jajo have demanded Shiv Sena Manipur Unit president N Tombi to produce proof of his claim that the aforementioned three took money from the Maharashtra National Party office within 5 days.
Failing this, the three will file a defamation suit on the Shiv Sena president.
Former MLA TT Haokip made this statement at a press conference held at his residence in New Checkon today.
Speaking to media persons, he continued to allege that N Tombi had accused the three of stealthily visiting the national party office and taking money.
Further, he has recently issued an order ousting the three former candidates in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election from the party, TT Haokip claimed.
The former MLA also demanded an explanation for the ousting and categorically denied the accusation that the three of them took money from the national party office.
He clarified that the three of them made a trip to Delhi on personal business and decided to visit the national party office in Maharashtra.
Upon reaching, they found N Tombi already present at the office.
TT Haokip alleged N Tombi of directing very harsh words at them that does not befit his position as the president of a State political party.
He added that usually party members are banned from the party for a maximum of 6 years, but the three of them were ousted indefinitely without any reason.
He also accused N Tombi of misusing party funds during the State Assembly election and trying to mislead the party according to his whims.
