MPCC extends aid to Yaibilen Children Home

Imphal, May 21 2022:
Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) extended aid to Yaibilen Children Home at Keibi Sanapat in Imphal East district on the occasion of 31st Death Anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi today.
A team of MPCC led by L Tilotama, Vice-president MPCC visited the children home along with other prominent leaders of the Party, leaders of Mahila Youth Congress and National Students' Union of India (NSUI) .
Speaking on the sidelines of the visit, L Tilotama elaborated on the significant contributions of the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who strove to empower the youths by lowering the voting age to 18 from 21 years She went on to state that Rajiv Gandhi laid the foundation of a modern and developed India and it was under his short tenure of Prime Ministership that he sowed the seeds to bring in Information Technology revolution in the country.
It may be noted that May 21 is observed as Anti-Terrorism Day to commemorate the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and to stand up against terrorism activities in the country.
