Ukhrul, May 21 2022:
The construction work of Pettigrew College Academic Block in Ukhrul which was halted by Hunphun based organisations owing to alleged use of sub-standard materials and flouting project specifications is all set to resume as Manipur Minorities and OBC Economic Development Society (MOBEDS) has come to terms with the organisation.
Reportedly, MOBEDS has assured to resume the work as per the specification and drawing of the project during a joint meeting held today at the conference hall of Pettigrew College.
Technical experts of MOBEDS compared the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Technical Sanctions (TS) of the project and assured to rectify and construct the Academic Block adhering to the extant design and specifications of the Indian standard codes of buildings incorporating all the safety norms.
The construction work is in its initial stage.
The Ukhrul CSOs, after viewing the detailed presentation and the commitment of MOBEDS, allowed the resumption of the construction work of the Academic block in the greater interest of the public.
