DC issues regulation for shops and markets in Jiribam

Imphal, April 30 2021:
As apart of the Government's protective measures against the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam, W Malemnganba Chenglei, IAS issued regulation for shops and markets in the district to be followed from May 1 onwards.
The regulations to be followed are: Shops and markets located in the area of Jiribam Municipal Council, Lamkhai Bazaar, Gularthol Bazaar, Sonapur Bazaar, Lalpani Bazaar, Kashimpur Bazaar, Chandranathpur and Laltingkhal Bazaar will be closed on Sundays.
The shops should be numbered as No 1, No 2 and so on and when shop no 1 opens, shop no 2 should be closed and vice versa.
The order further stated that the regulations will be effective till June 1 .
Apart from the above regulations, Covid appropriate behaviours should be maintained like wearing mask, to maintain social distancing etc and those who defy the norms will be penalised.
With reference to the above orders mentioned above, Jiribam Municipal Council JMC also laid out regulations to be followed by vendors and shops of Jiri Ima Keithel from tomorrow onwards and also sensitized the public regarding the regulations and appealed to all to strictly adhere to Covid SOPs and the regulations issued.
