Peace campaign held

As a part of the 4th annual commemoration of the declaration of world peace hosted by Heavenly Culture World Peace, Restoration of Light which will be scheduled at Seoul, a legislate peace campaign to support the declaration was held at Wangjing and Tentha Model School, Thoubal district today.
At Wangjing, the campaign was hosted by Jan Shikshya Sansthan,Thoubal and Wangjing women and girls' society, Wangjing.
Won Bae, vice manager, HWPL and Rosaline Seo, regional manager, international law, department of HWPL, L Jailshyam and L Premananda, State members of HWPL and many peace lovers, school teachers, mediapersons, NGO members etc were also present at the campaign.
While speaking at the conference hall of JSS Wangjing, Won Bae said the declaration of peace and cessation of war, consisting of a preamble, 10 articles and 38 provisions has been drafted with the intent of promoting the respect of fundamental human rights and an international law and of further involving states in the active protection of those rights.
This declaration is unique that it includes provisions aimed at resolving conflicts especially those attributed to religious causes through peaceful means and inviting youth, women and all citizens to participate in the active promotion of a lasting culture of peace, she added.
Rosaline Seo also highlighted the losing of peace in different countries of the world and its restoration process.
State member L Jailshyam said that now-a-days most of the south asian countries have no peace due to cold war among the countries.
Where there is no peace, there is no development, he said.
Many students of Tentha Model School also appended their signatures supporting the peace declaration.
It may be mentioned here that the meeting in Seoul will cover important topics such as the role of the legal system to resolve religious conflicts and the current role of the international court of justice of the united nations in resolving armed conflicts.
It is expected that at the 4th annual commemoration, many world political and religious leaders as well as women and youth leaders will gather.
