RPF extends gratitude

The proscribed RPF has exten-ded its deepest gratitude to all the people, including the elders of society, women-folk, hill people, youth, representatives of clubs/associations/organisations, Bar Association, teachers and students of schools and colleges, employees of Government and private institutions for paying tributes to the martyrs at the Martyrs' Complex at Cheiraoching on Martyrs' Day today.
In a statement, the outfit also acknowledged the work of the journalists in covering the event, the doctors and nurses who were on duty to help anyone needing medical help, transporters who ferried all the people who wanted to pay their tributes at the memorial site, Manipur police and traffic police for ensuring that everything passed off without a hitch.
Stating that April 13 will remain etched in the history of the land, the outfit said that the positive response from the people is ample testimony that the sacrifice of the martyrs will not go in vain.
It is a fitting tribute to the selfless sacrifice of the martyrs, said the outfit and added that it is only right that all pay their respect to the martyrs.
