DC Kangpokpi advises not to take digitization lightly

Kangpokpi, April 13 2017:
In a Digi-Dhan Mela organised at the community hall Kangpokpi DHQs today, DC Kangpokpi T Ranjit Singh (IAS) stated that an era of digitization has arrived where everyone has to accept the transformation and remain erudite in the modernized world.
The IAS officer urged the people not to take the digitization lightly adding that currency notes will end up in museum after some years.
He further stated that Digi-Dhan Mela aims at generating awareness among citizens about various payment systems available like UPI (Unified Payment Interface), AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System), USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) and RuPay Card adding that the Digi-Dhan Mela will be followed by camps organized at State level and at bank branch levels.
"It is time that digitization becomes a mass movement with the active participation of people all over the country and it is important for the people of Kangpokpi district to actively join the mass movement", he said.
The Digi-dhan Mela was inaugurated by Chairman of ADC Sadar Hills Haokholal Hangshing who also graced the event as chief guest, DC Kangpokpi T Ranjit Singh (IAS) attended as functional president while Additional DC, Kangpokpi Heisnam Balkrishna Singh (MCS) and LDM, Kangpokpi Z Tholi Paul attended as guests of honour.
In a poster making competition held as a part of the programme, Paojagin Kipgen, Chongdeikim Singson and Purna from KT Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi bagged the first, second and third position respectively.
Lamboilun Chongloi and Lalminlen Khongsai from KT Higher Secondary School Kangpokpi and Hatneineng Haokip from Kangpokpi Mission High School were awarded first, second and third prize respectively for a slogan competition.
The competitions were held on March 31 as per the directive of IT Department.
