Habibur JAC demands Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia

Imphal, August 12, 2014:
The JAC formed against the brutal killing of Mayangmayum Habibur (30) demanded arrest of the culprits between a 24 hours.
JAC president M Sarat, in a press meet held at Keishampat today, demanded apprehension of the culprits at the earliest.
In addition, he also demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh from the Government for the deceased family and also a suitable Government job for one of the family members.
Serving a deadline of three days, the JAC further stated that they would not claim the body until their demands are met.
Habibur was a manual labourer.
On August 11, Habibur set off to work as per his normal routine.
He was, however, found dead in the morning the next day near Mayang Imphal Primary Health Centre.
Meanwhile, Md Kayum, Organisation secretary of All Manipur Muslim Organisation Co-ordinating Committee strongly condemned the murder.
He further demanded speedy trail the case.
