Yumjao Lairembi's play wins best production

Imphal, February 02 2022: The result of 45th Kha-Manipur Drama Festival, 2021-2022 organised jointly by Langmeidong Dramatic Union and Manipur State Kala Akademi, Imphal has been declared.

Yumjao Lairembi Dramatic and Cultural Union (YLDCU) play Ningthirabi Keinya' bagged the best production award, while Manipur Youth Cultural Organisation's Khangpokshang' and Kanglei Living Arts, Uchiwa's play 'Leikangla da Leibaklei' shared the second prize and Lairaba Kanano' of Royal Theatrical Club's play was adjudged third.

YLDCU's Th Nabachandra also won the best director award as Manipur Youth Cultural Organisation's M Sunil Myboy bagged best actor (male) award and Kakching Dramatic Union's G Shantikumari Devi and YLDCU's Rk Romila shared the best actor (female) title.

Manipur Youth Cultural Organisation's H Universe Sharma bagged best supporting actor (male), Kakching Dramatic Union's M Ragini best supporting actor (female), Sangeet Kala Akademi's James Koireng best comedian and the same Akademi's Yaiphabi won best child artiste award.

Best script of the competition was won by Mani Yumnam for Ningthirabi Keinya', presidential award given to Juvenile Theatre's M Nirmala Chanu and Jury Award to Liberty iheatre's Ksh Nimaichand.
