On the other hand, the NSCN-IM has issued a press communique in Dimapur alleging that the 6th Assam Rifles attacked the NSCN-IM camp at Namsa-Tizit, Mon district of Nagaland this morning killing the outfit's 'army major' and 'abducted' five other cadres.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be identified.
The NSCN-IM further alleged that the Assam Rifles tactically identified the houses of some of the NSCN-IM functionaries today in Dimapur area and took photos in the morning besides harassing the family members.
"The NSCN condemns in the strongest term the highhandedness of the 6th Assam Rifles (AR) who shamefully and irresponsibly attacked the NSCN camp at Namsa-Tizit, Mon district, in the morning of August 26, in which one major of Naga Army was killed on the spot and 5 of them were abducted with their weapons and a laptop despite the ceasefire agreement between the Government of India and the NSCN.
This act of the Assam Rifles is provocative and vitiates the peaceful atmosphere in the area.
The Assam Rifles at Tizit and Govt of India will be fully responsible for any fallouts of this ugly incident," said the NSCN-IM.
"The AR claim that they are the friends of the hill people but, actually they are the real enemy of the hill people and as per their track records, Assam Rifles are the most barbaric and savage Para military Forces in India.
They are the trouble makers wherever they may be.
The people of Nagalim have scant regard for them," the NSCN-IM fumed.
