Imphal, August 26 2010:
On a three-day visit, a team of nine Ambassadors of member-countries of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) in India is set to arrive here on September 19 .
The visit is part of the 'Mission to North East States' of the Central Government.
To be sponsored by the Ministry of DoNER, it aims at giving a new impetus to the 'Look East Policy' of the Centre.
During the visit, Ambassadors of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam will be accompanied by their family members and eight other officials.
On their arrival here on September 19, the Ambassadors would call on the Chief Minister for a joint meeting to discuss various developmental issues.
On the following day, the Ambassadors will visit the border town Moreh by road and leave for Aizawl the next day.
