T-20: CMC, SHADOW win; SSU, YWC get walkover

Imphal, January 08 2024:
CDCC, Sagolband and SHADOW, Thangmeiband registered comfortable wins, as SSU, Singjamei and YWC, Patsoi were awarded maximum points after their respective opponents failed to show up for league matches of the 4th MNCA Luwangpokpa T-20 Trophy 2023-24 on Monday.
CDCC defeated KSDO, Kyamgei by 7 wickets at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Opting to bat first, KSDO were all out for 117 in 19.5 overs with Nawaz Sharif (47) being the only notable contributor for his team.
For CDCC, Mutum Jodiba was the top bowler with 3 wickets, aided by two wickets each from Md Ataur Rahaman alias Atao and Fm Sharif and one from Kshetrimayum Robert.
In reply, CDCC achieved the target in 18.4 overs with the loss of 3 wickets as Kshetrimayum Robert (43 not out) and Md Ataur Rahaman alias Atao (31) led the chase with able support from Konjengbam Monish (13), Priyojit Narengbanl (14) and Thounaojam Rakesh (12) .
In another match of the tournament at Lairenjam Public Ground, SHADOW crushed THAU, Thangmeiband by 40 runs.
Winning the toss, SHADOW batted first and scored 157/9 in 20 overs with contributions from Kh Devis (45), Reolin Oinam (24), Sagatpam Lanchenba (19) and RK Nishikanta (16) .
For THAU, Rajkumar Thapa scalped three wickets and Khumukcham Romesh Singh two while Khundrakpam Aden Singh and Mahesh Kumar Ngangbam claimed one each.
Chasing the target, THAU collapsed in 17.5 overs with a score of 117 runs.
Khumukcham Romesh Singh (39) was the lone batter for THAU with credible runs.
Meanwhile, YWC and SSU were declared winners as their respective opponents KIYC, Kshetrigao and SDC, Laipham Khunou forfeited the match.
