SAI NERC Imphal's KIRTI assessment tests conclude

Sports Authority of India, North Eastern Regional Centre, Imphal (SAI NERC Imphal) on Friday announced the successful conclusion of the Khelo India Rising Talent Identification (KIRTI) assessment tests across various sports disciplines.
Held from March 18 to 21, 2024, at the SAI NERC Imphal, Takyel, the event marked a significant milestone in identifying and nurturing budding talent in the region by completing the assessment of 750 plus athletes, a press release from the SAI NERC Imphal said.
The KIRTI assessment tests, scientifically designed and meticulously organised, aimed to identify promising athletes aged between 9 to 18 years across different sports disciplines.
The assessments were conducted for football (March 18-22, 2024), hockey (March 18, 2024), archery (March 19, 2024), athletics (March 20, 2024), and weightlifting (March 21, 2024), the release further informed.
"Throughout the duration of the event, participants exhibited exceptional talent and dedication, reflecting the rich sporting potential present in the region.
The KIRTI initiative, operating on a scientifically crafted pyramidical structure, aimed to unearth latent potential and nurture it into a robust pool of development prospects," it continued.
