Manipur to meet Mizoram in football final today
State wrestlers won as many as 10 medals including 6 gold medals and 4 silver medals and boxers added 8 medals including 5 gold to take State's tally to 43 gold, 34 silver and 30 bronze medals in the ongoing 3rd North East Games.
The day also saw Manipur win one silver in Badminton, one silver in athletics, one gold medal and two bronze medals in taekwondo and one silver medal in volleyball, 8 medals - 3 gold, 4 silver and one bronze in archery.

Boxers : Manipur finish campaign with 5 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals
The last day of the boxing competition saw Manipur clinch 5 gold and 3 silver medals to end the NE Games campaign on 5 gold, 3 silver and 7 bronze medals.
Chinglemba (51 kg), Ph Jackson (54 kg), Ph Kingson (57 kg), M Chinglemba (63.5 kg) and Bindiya Naorem (63 kg) won gold medals today as L Rahul (85 kg), T Bhumapati (50 kg) and Ksh Shilky (75 kg) clinched silver medals.
Archery : Manipur end campaign with 8 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals
With the addition of 8 medals - 4 gold, 4 silver and one bronze today, the Manipur archery team finished the campaign with 8 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.
W Malesori picked up a gold medal in the Indian Round individual competition wherein L Rojina finished second to win a silver medal.
Women's compound team of Ksh Manglemsana, P Lily Chanu, M Rupan Devi and Th Saya Devi won another gold as L Shilheiba and L Rojina clinched the mixed Indian round team gold.
Ksh Malemnsana Devi and P Lily also finished first and second in the compound women's Olympic Round to seal a gold and a silver medal.
The other silver medals were added by the men's compound team of M Bikram, Y Yohenba, G Robert and Welson Takhellambam; mixed compound team of M Bikram and Ksh Manglemsana as L Shilheiba, M Bikash, Thongam Heller and Keisham Borish won a bronze in the Indian Round men's olympic round competition.
Football : Manipur vs Mizoram in final showdown
Manipur will lock horns against Mizoram in the ultimate clash of the 3rd North East Games Football tommorw.
Manipur who suffered a 0-4 loss to Mizoram in the group stage competition, sealed a 2-1 comeback win over hosts Nagaland at NAPTC ground, Chuoukedima to confirm their place in the final.
Mizoram on the other hand reached the final with a 2-0 victory over Arunachal Pradesh in the second semi-final match.
In the first semi-final match, both sides started competitively and exchanged some close runs before Neisede volleyed home the ball from a deflection following a corner kick in the 21st minute.
Despite Manipur's attempt to equalise, the first ended with Nagaland leading by a goal.
Manipur however showed more determination after the restart and pulled level after 52 minutes through Sanathoi who connected a fine cross into the box and dodged past a defender and the Nagaland keeper before tapping in the ball.
Sanathoi went on to complete his brace four minutes later and overturned the lead with a low drilling shot that hit the post before deflecting into the net.
Nagaland toiled hard to draw level but Manipur defenders were equal to the task to keep all threats at bay.
Volleyball : Manipur finish runners up as Mizoram take gold
Manipur went down 17-25, 22-25, 21-25 to Mizoram in the final to settle for the silver medal.
Assam in the meantime finished second runners up to take the bronze medal.
Taekwondo : Manipur finish campaign with 4 gold and 3 bronze medals
Manipur taekwondo team finished overall second runners up with 4 gold and 3 bronze medals.
The last day of the competition saw Chungkham Yaikhomba struck gold medal in the -68 kg category competition as Saikhom Rohit (-54 kg) and Ayekpam Akash (-58 kg) settled for bronze medals.
The games hosted by Nagaland will conclude tomorrow.
