Club proposes joint deployment of police, village volunteers

Frequent attacks by Kuki narco-terrorists on Meetei villages since May 3, 2023 can only be halted when state forces and village volunteers are jointly deployed atop hills nearby Meetei villages, suggested United Progressive Sporting Club, Wangjing general secretary Salam Surchand.
Salam Surchand told media persons that Kuki narco-terrorists continue to attack Meetei villages anytime using bombs and sophisticated weapons since May 3, 2023 but their attack could be stopped if both state force personnel and village volunteers are deployed together atop hills nearby vulnerable Meetei villages.
State government repeatedly claim of bringing peace in the state but there is no peace in Manipur at present, he said and reminded the government that displaced Meeteis from Moreh, Churachandpur and other places are at still relief camps for more than ten months.
