BJP to back NPF candidate in Outer PC

The Government led by Biren Singh is set to back the NPF candidate in the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha Constituency.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Chief Minister N Biren tweeted, 'Following the decision by @BJP4India under the guidance of Shri@JPNadda ji, and upholding our alliance principles, I am delighted to share that BJP will lend its support to Lok Sabha candidate of NPF in the Outer Manipur Constituency for the forthcoming Parliamentary elections in 2024' .
Senior BJP leader in charge of North East Sambit Patra also shared the same line as Chief Minister N Biren.

Speaking of the Outer Manipur, where the BJP is still in limbo, sources reveal that the Biren Singh-led Government is set to extend support to the Naga People's Front (NPF), reports India Today NE.
For the Lok Sabha elections, the Naga People's Front (NPF) has announced Kachui Timothy Zimik as its candidate for the Outer Parliamentary Constituency.
A retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer, Zimik's candidacy will see him replace the sitting NPF Parliamentarian Dr Lorho S Pfoze.
The announcement was made by the NPF's Central Working Committee, following a crucial meeting on March 20 .
