National Masters Athletics Championships : Manipur's tally swells to 77 medals

Manipur's medal tally at the 44th National Masters Athletic C'ships has swelled to 77 medals including 41 gold medals as the championship entered its fourth day today.
As many as 14 gold medals were added today with W Dayabati securing top place in the women's 75+ 100 m event with a time of 22.76 seconds, Th Radhesana securing women's 45+ long jump event with a 4.26 m finish, L Tomba topping men's 55+ 10 km race, Th Ibomcha winning 200 m race for the men's 80+ category with a time of 36.27 seconds, Th Biren registering 32.28 m throw to top men's 70+ discus throw event, Th Memcha topping women's 60+ 200 m race with a time of 35.78 seconds, S Chaoba winning women's 55+ 200 m race with a time of 36.69 seconds, Th Memcha winning women's 60+ 300 m hurdles with a time of 1 minute 0.2 second, S Somananda winning men's 40+ triple jump event with a 12.19 m finish, S Babuyaima topping men's 70+ 2000 m steeplechase with a time of 9 minutes 12 seconds, Th Nabakumar topping men' 75+ 2000 m steeplechase with a 11 minute 33 seconds finish in the individual competitions.
Meanwhile in the team events, men's 75+ 4x400 relay team of Th Ibomcha, Th Nabakumar, S Manihar and N Yaima win gold with a time of 7 minutes 12.36 seconds as 65+ men's team of S Thambal Sharma, S Kunjakishore, Janeshore and N Sanatomba took 5 minutes 10.24 seconds to seal another gold medal.
Women's 60+ 4x400 relay team of S Manisana, Th Memcha, Ph Inaobi and Ch Jaymali registered a gold medal by finishing the course in 8 minutes and 36.25 seconds as 70+ team of S Subita, Ng Nganbi, Ph Tamphamani and K Shama too secured a gold medal in the same competition with a time of 10 minutes 23.45 seconds.
