Imphal, July 19 2010: Troops of 8 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) organised 'Vanmahotsav' in Sajik valley on 18 July 2010.Commandant, 8 Assam Rifles was inaugurated the plantation drive followed by Officers, JCOs and Other Ranks of 8 Assam Rifles alongwith the villagers planted around 2200 saplings each at two locations in Sajik Valley.

The saplings which are being planted in Sajik Valley are the hybrid varieties of various trees like Amla, Sandal wood, Aloe Vera etc.
