Poll nodal officers appointed

Imphal, February 16 2024: In connection with the Lok Sabha election 2024, several officers of the State Government have been appointed as nodal officers.

As per an order issued by Chief Electoral Officer Pradeep Kumar Jha today, IGP (Intelligence, NAB & Zone-II) K Kabib has been appointed as nodal officer (law & order, EVM and security plan) .

According to the same order, Additional Secretary (Election) Karam Bono is nodal officer (material management, ballot paper, postal ballot and ETPBS) .

Other officers who had been appointed as (election) nodal officers are Joint Chief Electoral Officer Ramananda Nongmeikappam, Joint CEO(II) Md S Daulat Khan, Joint Secretary, Agriculture Y Yasser Ahmed, Treasury Joint Director K Binku Singh, Assistant Commissioner (Excise) N Rajesh Singh, Additional Director (IPR) W Phajatombi, Joint Secretary (DP) L Radhakanta, Joint Secretary (Health) Y Suraj and Joint Director (Transport) Dr David Elangbam.

Ramananda Nongmeikappam has been placed in charge of manpower management, computerisation, cyber security & IT, training management, communication and electoral rolls; Md S Daulat Khan in charge of SVEEP and EVM management; Y Yasser Ahmed in charge of MCC; K Binku and N Rajesh in charge of EEM; W Phajatombi in charge of media; L Radhakanta in charge of complaints redressal and voter helpline and Dr David Elangbam in charge of transport management while Y Suraj has been appointed as observer.
