Headman of Ramrei Village and several villagers of Ramrei and nearby villages also took part in the yatra.

During the yatra at Ramrei Village, PM-JAY cards were generated and distributed and a total of 24 persons were newly enrolled for various Social Welfare Schemes including Manipur Old Age Pension Scheme (MOAP), Widow Pension Scheme and PWDs.

A health camp was also conducted as a part of the yatra.

The second leg of the yatra was held at Kasom Somrei Village of the district on January 6 .

While highlighting the importance of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, DC Rangnamei Rang Peter urged the villagers, who have benefited from various government schemes, such as Old Age Pension Scheme, Ujjwala Yojana Scheme, PM-JAY, etc., to share their experiences and views of the facilities/opportunities they got through the schemes to their friends and neighbours.

The DC also appealed to those who are eligible under various schemes but have not availed benefits so far to take advantage of the yatra and enrol themselves for the relevant schemes.

The two-day Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Kamjong District witnessed several beneficiaries of various schemes such as Ujjwala Scheme, PM-JAY, PM-Kisan, MOAP, CHMT, Jal Jeevan Mission, MIDH, Mudra Yojana, KCC, PMEGP, etc, expressing their personal experiences and gratitude to the Government through the 'Meri Kahani Meri Zubani' initiative.

It may be noted that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a Government initiative being undertaken across the country, to raise awareness about and track the implementation of flagship central schemes, such as Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, PM-Kisan, PM Suraksha Bima, PM SVANidhi, PM-JAY, etc.

The aims of VBSY are " To reach out to the vulnerable who are eligible under various schemes but have not availed benefit so far; dissemination of information and generating awareness about the schemes; interaction with beneficiaries of the Government schemes through their personal stories/experience sharing under 'Meri Kahani Meri Zubani' initiative and enrolment of potential beneficiaries through details ascertain ascertained during the Yatra" .

The programme is being undertaken with the active involvement of various Union Ministries and State Governments.
