Imphal, September 12 2023:
Claiming that the 'controversial' fact finding report of Editors Guild of India (EGI) on Manipur violence has revealed serious conspiracies, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has said that the alleged collusion between Indian Army, EGI and Kuki narco-terrorist groups like ITLF must be dealt with a firm hand.
In a statement signed by its media coordinator Somorendro Thokchom, the COCOMI said that the EGI was invited by Indian Army to Manipur as disclosed by the EGI to the Supreme Court.
Claiming that the EGI fact finding team appealed for crowdfunding to meet their travel expense ahead of the visit and thanked ITLF_media cell on September 6 in its official X (formerly Twitter) handle post (later deleted), the Committee accused the Army of influencing EGI to publish the 'most biased and fact finding report on Manipur violence' .
The entire Nation calls the report of EGI as Fake Finding Report of Editors Guilt (not Guild) of India, COCOMI alleged.
Claiming further that the report indicates Army influencing EGI to work beyond their ethical practises and making narco-terrorist agencies like ITLF to sponsor their trip to Imphal, the Committee said that all the three parties must be held equally responsible for all the 'fake reports and biased stand against the Meeteis' .
"It is now clear that all the violence happening in Manipur is being carried out by Kuki narco-terrorist groups in collusion with various security agencies and sponsored by narco terror agencies like ITLF," COCOMI alleged.
Claiming that money from narco terror agencies has reached several agencies and personalities, COCOMI urged the Government to take up immediate action against all the agencies and individuals in the crime.
Meanwhile, the Committee appealed to all organisations to refrain from carrying out road donation as it causes great disturbance to vehicular movements.
