Kakching DC launches "Leibaklei Candle"

A one-day candle-making training programme organised by Kakch -ing District Skill Committee under the project "Leibaklei" concluded at Indoor stadium relief camp, Kakching on Tuesday with the formal launching of "Leibaklei Candles".
Speaking at the valedictory programme, Kakching deputy commissioner Somorjit Salam encouraged the inmates to expand their business with collective action.
He also informed that the District Skill Committee is planning to open temporary stalls to market products manufactured by inmates of relief camps in the Kakching district.
Delivering her speech, KVK Thoubal subject matter specialist and training instructor RK Lembisana expressed happiness over successful completion of the training programme.
She also enlightened the inmates how enhancing their skills could help them sustain their livelihood and become self-reliant.
The coordinator of the programme, MGNF, Kakching Irom Abesana Devi advised the trainees to sell their products and expand their business under the brand name "Leibaklei Candles" and be resilient like the flower "Leibaklei" itself.
The launching programme was also attended by the Indoor Stadium Committee chairperson, president, members and other inmates of the relief camp.- The project "Leibaklei" intended to empower inmates with skills for self-sustainability.
The skill training programme was attended by 36 inmates of the relief camp.
