Trucks stranded

Senapati, October 06 2023:
More than 300 goods laden trucks have been stranded along the National Highway in Senapati district due to the indefinite economic blockade being imposed by Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) since yesterday.
Enraged by the continuous extension of mobile internet shutdown to areas unaffected by the ongoing strife like Senapati district, the district apex student body imposed the blockade from 6 pm yesterday.
According to a report from Mao, around 200 goods laden trucks heading to Imphal are stranded along Mao areas.
Sources from Senapati mentioned that around 100 goods laden trucks are also stranded between Mao and Senapati while another 60 trucks (approx ) are stranded in between the periphery of Senapati and T Khullen.
It may be mentioned that the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) has been urging the Government to lift the ban on mobile internet services in the district.
No untoward incident was reported till the time this report was filed.
