Sit-ins demand swift justice for two students

Protests continued in different parts of the state on Friday demanding swift justice for the two students, who were abducted and killed by Kuki militants, and recovery of their bodies.
Keirao Bitra Awang Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi Lup organised a sit-in protest at Irilbung Panthoibi Keithel on Friday during which the participants chanted slogans demanding justice for two students, recovery and handing over of their bodies to the bereaved families, NRC implementation to detect and deport illegal immigrants, up holding the territorial integrity of the state, and taking appropriate action against Kuki narco-terrorists to prevent expansion of golden triangle into Manipur.
They also opposed the demand for separate administration raised by the Kukis.
Students and staff of Macha Leima School also organised a sit-in protest at their school campus located at Palace Compound.
The protestors led by head mistress Khaidem Momobala demanded justice for the two students and appropriate action for using excessive force against student protestors by security forces.
They also shared the pain of the bereaved families of Linthoingambi and Hemanjit.
In Thoubal district, sit-in protest was organised jointly by Thokchom Leikai Youth Club and Meira Paibi Lup at Heirok Part II Thokchom Leikai community hall on Friday demanding stringent punishment of the culprits involved in the killing of Linthoingambi and Hemanjit in captivity by Chin-Kuki terrorists.
During the protest, the participants also raised slogans condemning the killing of the students, demanding punishment of the murderers, etc.
