ABVP leader Ashish Chauhan addresses key concerns

National organising secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ashish Chauhan and ABVP North East Zonal organising secretary Kamal Nayan addressed pressing issues concerning the state and engaged with various segments of the community during their visit.
Informing this, a press statement issued by ABVP Manipur unit said that upon their arrival at Imphal International Airport, Chauhan and Nayan were warmly welcomed by prominent ABVP members and leaders, including state president Dr Premlata Maisnam, Dr Thiyam David, Bhagawat Singh Rajawat, and dedicated members of ABVP.
The itinerary included a series of engagements aimed at understanding and addressing the concerns of the people of Manipur.
They visited UNACCO School, Meitram in Imphal West and engaged in a productive interaction programme with student hostellers.
Notable attendees included UNACCO School chairman Ningombam Irabanta, DGMs 0 Polendro and Nandeibam Shyamchand, and Principal Apurva Sundar Das.
The delegation interacted with village volunteers at Naranseina village in Bishnupur district, discussing pressing state issues and emphasising the importance of conflict resolution, peace, and safety.
They also visited Ithing Relief Camp near Sendra Resort in Moirang, engaging with over 30 students and distributing study materials, while recognising the vital role of education in shaping the future of youth.
Various meetings and interactions were held with ABVP members, Manipur University students, faculty members, social welfare organisations, addressing educational matters and societal concerns.
An SWC meeting of ABVP Manipur was also inaugurated by Ashish Chauhan, during which he spoke on the current issues in Manipur, restoration of peace, reopening of educational institutions, and border area fencing among others.
A special lecture on leading a meaningful student life was organised at HIT Manipur, featuring prominent speakers.
Chauhan also met with the chief secretary to discuss the ethnic crisis and initiatives to provide better services at relief camps, the statement added.
