Imphal, June 17 2023: Troops of Jwal-amukhi Sector Assam Rifles rescued an elderly woman who was found loitering in Phailen village.

Amidst the ongoing violence in Manipur, many people have fled their homes and took refuge at safer locations while civil administration and security forces are trying their best to rescue and save the victims.

In one such rescue operation, a woman from Imphal West district was found loitering in Phailen village and she was rescued.

The woman was brought at AR temporary operating base at Hathikhuwa and the information subsequently intimated to local Meira Paibi, Sekmai police and Kangpokpi police.

Local Meira Paibi informed that the woman had been missing for the past four days and thanked AR for rescuing the woman safe and sound.
