Imphal, October 21 2023:
A group of ex-students of DM College of Science, who completed their class 12 and TDC in 1999, donated blankets and financial assistance to different relief camps in the state to shield the internally displaced people (IDPs) from the harsh winter months.
On Saturday, a team of the college alumni reached out to inmates of relief camps set up at Konthoujam Makha Leikai, Kumbi Terakha Upper Primary School, and Lamlai with blankets and financial aid.
The winter season poses a significant challenge to the displaced individuals, many of whom had to flee their homes abruptly, leaving behind all their possessions and belongings.
With the temperature dropping, the need for warm clothing and adequate shelter becomes more critical than ever.
It is said that the ex-students of DM College of Science are committed to extending their help further by planning to reach out to other relief camps in the spirit of solidarity and community support to those who are enduring the hardships of displacement during this challenging time.
