YWC-L, YUCC, TCMDC and RCA recorded massive wins in the 4th MNCA U16 Trophy 2023-23 on Saturday.
YWC-L made light work of PCC with an 8-wicket hammering of their opponents in their encounter at Dhobi Lampak, Kongba Khunou.
The winning side skittled out PCC in 24 overs for 71 as Lucky (32) was the only batter who scored in double figures for the latter.
Ziad shone with the ball for YWC-L by claiming 4 wickets as Achouba and Sushil took 2 wickets each, with Malemnganba and Athouba bagging one each.
YWC-L then achieved the target in 13.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets courtesy of Thoungamba (22 not out), Achouba (20 not out), Ziad (12) and Kumar (2) .
TCMDC, on the other hand, handed a heavy 9-wicket defeat to YPHUC at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
TCMDC bundled out YPHUC in 31.4 overs for 108 and then chased down the target in 17.1 overs with the help of batters Thomson (61 not out), Nganba (30 not out) and Mathoi (2).Earlier, Thomson led the scalping for TCMDC with a haul of 4 wickets, followed by Lohitsun and Prakash, who both snapped 2 wickets.
Valinda took 1 wicket.
YUCC also enjoyed an easy day with an 84-run win over PTRC at Cherapur.
Electing to bat, YUCC were all out for 173 in 28.4 overs.
N Thoiba took centre stage in the innings, smashing 101 off 56 balls.
N Kenedy (21) and Bidyashwor (16) were other key contributors for YUCC.
In reply, PTRC wilted under pressure and were dismissed for 89 in 23 overs.
Kenedy was the chief destroyer for YUCC with 6 wickets and Joychand did his bit with 4 wickets.
RCA, meanwhile, thumped TRAU by 173 runs in other one-sided game.
The winning side batted first and posted 240 for 8 with contributions from Saad (46), Naesh (43), Alfash (40), Irshad (24 not out), Intiyas (13 not out), Zunaid (18), Safwan (14) and Anush (12).They then bowled out TRAU in 24.4 overs for 67.Naesh emerged as the main wicket-taker for RCA, picking up 5 wickets as Sawaz and Soid took 2 each, and Saad chipped in with one.
