Brick paved road inaugurated

Thoubal, October 21 2023: A brick paved road constructed under Ningel Gram Panchayat Ward No 4 in Wangkhem assembly constituency was inaugurated by Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra on Saturday.

The road stretch locally known as Khoirom Sarangthem Leirak has been paved with bricks with funding from the line department of MGNREGS.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Meghachandra informed that the said road has constructed by MGNREGS job card holders of the locality under his line department at a total cost of Rs 19.8 lakh.

Mentioning that brick paved roads are long lasting and very comfortable for commuters, he informed that 25 such brick paved roads have been developed so far in different parts of the AC while 11 are under construction.
