Imphal, March 17 2024: Keihao Village Authority vehemently condemned the act of burning vehicles engaged for quarrying and indiscriminate firing by Kuki militants at Keihao village under Yairipok police station around 3 pm Sunday.

While deploring that the unwanted incidents caused panic among the villagers, a statement issued by Keihao village headman asserted that it would not tolerate any act of antagonism in areas within its jurisdiction.

Further reminding that the village authority had on January 28 also expressed serious displeasure when a gunfight broke out within the 'territory' of Keihao village, which falls under Kangpokpi district, the headman declared that as their sincere appeal has fallen on deaf ears, groups disrespecting the plea shall have to bear the consequences.
