Assam Rifles reunites children with parents

Considering the plight of individuals separated from their loved ones, Assam Rifles on Saturday reunited children from Kakching and Imphal who were stranded at Kwatha village since the conflict broke out on early May, with their parents and rel atives, said PRO IGAR (S) .
In a release, the PRO informed that to ensure a safe and secure passage, Assam Rifles coordinated with Kuki village chiefs and the civil society organisations (CSOs) of Tengnoupal district for safe evacuation and reunion of the children with their relieved parents.
On the other hand, Assam Rifles in collaboration with village authorities of Kwatha Khunou, Molphei and B Bongyang organised a civic interaction programme at Kwatha village on Friday to strengthen the bond between the security forces and the local community.
Rations were also distributed to the villagers, the PRO added.
