Sit-in protest staged

Denouncing the demand for separate administration raised by some individual/ groups in the State, United Club Organisation in collaboration with Apunba Meira Paibi Lup Keishamthong AC Ward No 9 today staged a sit-in protest at Yaipha Thouni Community Hall in Keishampat Leimajam Leikai.
Speaking to media persons, Kshetrimayum Anita, convenor United Club Organisation, Keishamthong Kendra Ward No 9, shared that the protest was staged to bring an end to the violence and subdue the flames of the present crisis.
In regard to the political leaders who had flown to Delhi to join the All-Party Meeting chaired by Amit Shah, Anita appealed to the MLAs of all the parties to highlight the issues that have been plaguing Manipur in the meeting and arrive at an effective solution.
"Don't return to Manipur if there is failure in producing a reasonable solution to the issue", she added.
Extending condolence to the victims of the ongoing crisis, Anita expressed hope that the meeting will be fruitful in bringing about an effective solution to the crisis.
Placards with slogans such as, "No Separate Administration At Any Cost", "Go Back Assam Rifles", "All MLAs' Should Not Return Without Amiable Solution", "Why Silent Prime Minister ?", etc were displayed at the demonstration.
