Army helps relief camp residents

Imphal, March 13 2024:
Indian Army, along with 'Chakumgee Meiri' (an NGO) and Bishnupur district administration distributed 65 pressure cookers to the internally displaced persons living in different relief camps in Bishnupur district on Wednesday.
The collaborative effort benefitted 8700 individuals across 47 relief camps in Leimaram, Oinam, Nambol, Phubala, Ningthoukhong, Sunusiphai, Moirang, Khuman, Thangjing, Kumbi, Wangoo, Ithai Khunou, Chandrapur, Okshongbung, Terakhongsangbi, Thanga, Kwakta and Torbung areas of Bishnupur district.
The distribution event was attended by senior officers from the Red Shield Division of Indian Army and Bishnupur DC Lourembam Bikram, informed a statement issued by PRO Defence.
