AR, ex-MLA meet Kwatha villagers

As part of its effort to ensure security and return of peace, Assam Rifles of IGAR (South), organised an interaction with villagers of Kwatha village in Tengnoupal district.
During the interaction, commander of Sector Assam Rifles and former MLA Bijoy Koijam discussed issues and challenges of the villagers.
The meeting was intended not just to create confidence, but also to convey support and solidarity with the villagers, said a PRO IGAR (S) release.
During the visit, Bijoy Koijam and the Assam Rifles commander distributed stationaries, school books and bags to the children.
The villagers also underwent basic medical check- up and were provided medicines.
The Kwatha villagers highlighted numerous noteworthy instances of communal harmony and peaceful coexistence, showcasing resilience amidst the ongoing conflict during the interaction, informed the release.
