Imphal, March 13 2024:
The Jadonang Memorial College Teachers' Association (JMCTA), Noney, which has been advocating for welfare of both the college and its students, has urged the government to upgrade the lone college in Noney district to a full-fledged college to better serve the community.
Expressing concern over the delay in the upgrade/conversion process, JMCTA highlighted smooth functioning of the college over the years and its recent elevation to an aided college.
However, they asserted that the college now requires further enhancement to become a full-fledged institution.
Expressing hope that the state government will heed the plea this time, considering dedication of both teachers and students to the college s progress, JMCTA referred to the college's positive impact on student outcomes since its establishment.
Acknowledging the government's earlier support in upgrading the college to an aided status, JMCTA sought immediate action to address their grievances and fulfil their aspirations for a full-fledged college.
They also expressed gratitude to the chief minister for his commitment to the people and appealed for his consideration in this matter.
JMCTA emphasised importance of education in promoting development and safeguarding community interests, urging the government to prioritise the college's upgrade.
They expressed belief that addressing their needs promptly will contribute to the overall progress of education in the state.
