SBI trains youth on self-employment

As part of the development programmes taken up by SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute across the country, SBI RSETI Imphal West has started providing self-employment training to youth of the state which will continue till February next year, informed SBI RSETI Imphal West director Yumkhaibam Devand.
SBI RSETI Imphal West director was speaking during the inaugural function of the training programme for youth organised by SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute at the office of SBI RSETI Imphal West at Takyel Industrial Road, on Wednesday.
He further stated that SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute has been established to develop India and SBI is taking the main role in its activities implementation.
The training institute has also been opened for Imphal West district soon after he was appointed director of SBI RSETI Imphal West.
The training commencing from Wednesday with participation of around 30 shopkeepers will include training on fast food preparation on Thursday.
From April onwards, training programmes on EDP, poultry, fisheries, mushroom, cultivation, bee keeping, beauty parlour management, fast food, paper cover, envelope, pickle masala making, dairy farming, general EDP commercial horticulture and bamboo making will be taken up, he said and appealed to the public to participate.
The inaugural function was also attended by Imphal West DC Thokchom Kirankumar, ITI Takyel principal L Subhaschandra and SBI Imphal regional manager Khumukcham Okendra.
Meanwhile, SBI Kakching branch presented a sewing machine each to three relief camps opened in Kakching, on Wednesday.
SBI Kakching chief manager Rupachandra Thoudam, chief associate Ningthoujam Budhachandra, staff Mayanglambam Open and Naorem Tiken presented the sewing machines to residents of the relief camps set up at Old Age Home, Kha Manipur College and Kakching Wairi Kongoi.
