Free health check-up, OPD camp conducted

The Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute & Research Centre has successfully organised a 'Free OPD Camp & Medical Aid' for the conflict survivors taking shelter at Trade & Expo Centre Relief Camp in Lamboikhong-nangkhong, Imphal West district.
In a release, Karkino informed that over 250 people including men, women and children were examined for various health care concerns during the camp by a highly experienced medical & paramedics team led by Dr (Prof) G S Moirangthem, Director & CEO of Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute & Research Centre.
Besides providing free health check-Up, the hospital distributed medicines and other healthcare essentials among the affected people.

To make sure that cancer patients are not left out and get correct & timely consultation, the Centre also organised a Cancer Risk Assessment Program for the survivors staying at the relief camp.
More than 200 people were also enrolled for ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) Cards at the program.
Meanwhile, the Patsoi Unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) also conducted a comprehensive free health checkup camp for over 250 students and faculty members at Manipur Technical University, Takyelpat.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer of Imphal West, said a release issued by ABVP Manipur.
The health checkup included various screenings and consultations, covering vital aspects of physical health such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and general wellness assessments.
Additionally, students and faculty members were provided with personalized health advice and guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Asst Prof Saratchandra Hanjabam, president of ABVP Patsoi Unit, expressed his gratitude to all the participants, volunteers and collaborating partners for their invaluable contributions in making the event a resounding success.
