Free health camp organised at relief camp

Taragi Cheishu on Sunday organised a 'specialized free health camp' at the relief camp set up at Ideal Girls' College, Akampat, Imphal East.
According to a press release, as a part of vision and mission of Taragi Cheishu, a weekly outreach programme is being carried out every Sunday at relief camps and other far-flung villages of Manipur valley areas.
During the free health camp, 64 women, 34 men, and 9 children were treated and given free medicines.
The free health camp was attended by specialised medical experts including Prof Irom Anil Singh, Dr Ramesh, and Dr Uthan from the Department of Medicine, JNIMS; Prof Ksh Achouba Singh, endocrinologist, JNIMS; Prof RK Lenin Singh, Department of Psychiatry, RIMS; and Prof Th Suraj Singh, Department of Neurology, RIMS.
Ecocardiography, ECG, blood sugar assessment, and other procedures were performed during the health camp.
The office bearers of Taragi Cheishu led by chairman Khaidem Mani, vice-chairman RK Nimai, convener Prof Dhakeswar, co-convener Prof Ch Ibohal Meetei, co-convener Dr Rajesh Yumkhaibam, Prof Mohilal of MU, Dr Jinus, and members of Taragi Cheishu's legal wing, led by A Goutam and Th Simon, also assisted in conducting the free health camp and distribution of relief items such as rice, sanitary napkins, baby foods and others, the release added.
