Awareness prog, 'Shiksha Ek Sankalp' organised

Chandel Forest Division in collaboration with Alliance for Development Alternative Manipur (ADAM), Kakching conducted a one day awareness programme on forest and wildlife at Angaan Ching Eco Park, Kakching on Sunday.
The programme organised under the theme 'Role of Community in Conservation of Forest and Wildlife' with the support of State Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) was attended by Dhanamanjuri University vice chancellor professor Dr Nongmaithem Rajmuhon as chief guest and Chandel Forest Division divisional forest officer Pritam Kshetri as functional president, while ADAM president Dilip Kshetriya and Image TV, Kakching's Image Paodam editor Uttam Kumar Naorem were present as guests of honour.
As part of the function, Yes Sundays and Holidays for Environment (Yes SHE) t-shirts were distributed to the participants along with planting of tree saplings.
On the other-hand, as part of the week-long 'Sankalp Saptaah' programme of Aspirational Block Programme Chakpikarong Block, Chandel district, district administration and Zonal Education Office (ZEO) jointly organised a 'Shiksha Ek Sankalp' programme at Chakpikarong Higher Secondary School on Saturday.
The event presided over by ADC Chandel/SDO Chakpikarong Md Firoj Khan had students from Chakpikarong block participating in debate, essay writing and painting competitions conducted under the theme 'Digital Literacy and Importance of Girl's Education'.
Later, prizes were distributed to winners of the competitions.
