Imphal, June 23 2023:
Democratic Stu-dents' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) pointed out that most of the colleges have begun form fill up process with nearing of the new academic session, though 95 per cent of some of the college campus are being used as relief camps to shel-ter displaced people thereby causing inconveniences to college authorities in the admission process.
In a release, DESAM said that existence of relief camps is only causing prob-lems to the college author-ities but also in conducting examination which will be-gin from Saturday.
As such, DESAM appealed to shift at least 50 per cent of those staying in relief camp other suitable locations.
Stating that the failure to declare results of BA/B.Sc/B.Com 1st, 3rd and 5th semester exam is unfor-tunate, DESAM appealed to declare the result at the earliest.
In another release, DES-AM appealed not to come to the organisation for admission process as they stand firm against corruption.
Members of DESAM are students and working for the welfare of the society, the release pointed out, while stating that parents generally come to its office every year during admission time and request for facil-itating admission of their children.
The students' body maintained that they are not involved in such thing.
As DESAM never exert pressure on educational institutions regarding ad-mission, if anyone under the mask of DESAM approach for admission, the insti-tutions concerned should contact the students' body and confirm the same, the release appealed.
