Lecture on livestock management held

A demonstration lecture on livestock management, artificial insemination (AI), and embryo transfer technology (ETT) was held at the veterinary department office in Senapati for biotechnology and agri students of the College of Agricultural Sciences, Hengbung.
Dr K Puhle Japheth, Dr Chang L DH Chaole, VFA from Senapati's veterinary department, Dr M Pule Adison, and Dr Bonny Bernard, deputy director Veterinary Department, Kangpokpi, attended the programme as resource persons and officials.
The programme was attended by around 30 students of the college, with some lecturers serving as guides.
Dr Puhle Japheth emphasised the importance of scientific livestock and poultry management while Dr Chang L spoke on the significance of artificial insemination in livestock, focusing on high-yielding dairy cows and Dr M Pule Adison on controlled breeding techniques known as "Embryo Transfer Technology (ETT)" in livestock and its practical applications in the field.
Earlier, Dr Bonny Bernard, deputy director Veterinary Department, Kangpokpi district, gave a welcome address.
